Our annual MHQ Bash usually includes an interactive scavenger hunt for attendees in Texas, but with the world in a bit of a different place a different plan is needed! Luckily the all-new Eventzee app is perfect for hosting virtual events in a safe (and fun!) environment.
We’re excited to announce that in connection to Munzee’s “Bash From The Past!” event we have a great opportunity to show everyone a more personalized event style! Join our weeklong virtual scavenger hunt which will be a walk down memory lane, as well as a look at the future of Eventzee!
Did you know Eventzee was first announced at the first MHQ Bash in 2014? All we had was a presentation and some screenshots, but we’ve come a long way since then. So be sure to join our hunt to see how far we’ve come!
Just download the NEW Eventzee app and use the code “BASH2020” to access this special hunt. Or scan this QR code using the Eventzee app to join quickly! Please note that if you haven’t already you will need to create a new Eventzee account to join. The previous version of Eventzee used Munzee accounts to login, but the all new version stands on its own.

This event will be available until September 30 at 23:59 MHQ time. Per usual no screenshots will be accepted unless the clues ask for it. Please also note that since the new version of Eventzee is separate from Munzee, players will not be awarded additional Munzee points or badges as they did previously.
There are some challenges you can complete right away, and some that will be released daily in groups to further immerse you in each day’s theme. We’ll be awarding prizes to the top finishers, so make sure to submit your best photos, videos, and text challenges to rise to the top! As we’re anticipating a large amount of submissions, we may not be able to review everything — however, we will definitely review submissions from those at the top of the leaderboard once the event is over, to ensure that the final ranking for the prize winners is accurate.

TUSTIN, CA, September 1, 2020 – Freeze Tag (OTC: FRZT), a leading creator of location-based mobile social games, launched a fundraiser project with The Salvation Army of Buffalo using the Eventzee scavenger hunt app. Utilizing Eventzee technology, “Buffalo’s Most Amazing Race” guided competitors throughout western New York in a safe, social distance adventure.
The annual event, which kicked off in late July, featured teams of two who competed from the safety of their cars in a scavenger hunt throughout Buffalo, NY. With a first-place prize of $1,000, contestants were eager to compete in the name of a good cause. Challenges within the app were based on art, history and exciting locations throughout the Buffalo area.
“We were excited to help The Salvation Army take their annual fundraiser to the next level,” said Craig Holland, CEO of Freeze Tag. “With the help of Eventzee they were able to present a state of the art experience that was interactive, safe, and fun for the whole family.”
The city-wide amazing race is one of the Buffalo Salvation Army’s biggest fundraising events of the year, but due to COVID-19 health concerns, plans had to shift. So, the committee re-invented the event into a COVID safe, socially distanced scavenger hunt event the whole family could enjoy. Eventzee was able to offer not only a safe alternative, but through the new Eventzee app players were able to compete in a number of different challenge types including photos, videos, GPS locations, and more. All funds raised from the event support programs and services of The Salvation Army in Buffalo NY, which are needed now more than ever.

We’re excited to announce that a new version of the Eventzee app will be available for download! The latest version of Eventzee has been totally reworked to offer virtual events and scavenger hunts for any occasion. Whether you’re looking for a team building exercise, new ways to engage with your customers, or a fun family activity, the NEW Eventzee app provides the most features of any scavenger hunt app available.

We’re excited to release the new Eventzee, complete with a collection of brand new features, so allow us to break down some of our favorite aspects of the new app!
Fresh Facelift
One of the most noticeable changes is the release of the new Eventzee logo! The mission of the new app is to offer a tool for people working together to solve challenges, and interacting with one another via virtual events and scavenger hunts. Our new logo appropriately showcases the power a group of diverse people have when they work together to locate, and complete challenges in a real world setting.
Home Base
Each Eventzee event will now feature three distinct sections within the dashboard.
Event- What would be considered “Home,” this section includes the event description and details, allows you to see your stats particular to that event, and there’s even a spot to upload a profile picture!
Challenges- This section will show you a list of all challenges. The different challenge types are defined by their corresponding icon. When you click on a challenge you’ll then be able to see the challenges’ expanded description, any accompanying photos, and here you’ll also complete the challenge depending on the type.
Social- Here’s where you can interact with other players in your event! There are three features within the Social section.
- Feed- Here players can see one another’s approved photos and videos and “like” them to cheer each other on.
- Chat- Using this feature players can chat amongst themselves, strategize and work together
- Leaderboard- See how you stack up against other players! Can you go for gold?
Challenging Choices
The NEW Eventzee app offers 7 different Challenge types!
- Photo– An Eventzee classic! Photo challenges encourage interaction and drive creativity.
- Video- Take your challenge to the next level with 30 second video submissions.
- Quiz- Challenge your players’ minds with multiple choice questions.
- GPS- Prove that X marks the spot by checking in to specific GPS locations.
- QR Code- Locate and find hidden QR codes.
- Text- Gather information from your players via fill-in-the-blank questions, and approve the submissions in real time.
- Information- Share important information regarding challenges, locations, and more with informational tips.
Any mix of challenges can also be combined together in a Grouped Challenge to require players to complete a number of challenges at a time in order to earn the points. This is specifically helpful if you want a variety of challenges to be completed at one location. For example, guide players to a specific location with a GPS challenge, have them answer a Quiz question based on Information in that area, and take a Photo while you’re there for good measure!
Challenges can also host informational photos within the description as well for an alternative clue to what the challenge requires. For example, use an example photo to show players a specific statue or landmark they’re looking for. This section is also a great spot for showing branded images to showcase your organization’s logos, marketing materials, and more.
Admin Extraordinaire
Now running your event is easier than ever! Admins of events can approve photo, video, and text submissions within the app itself. You’ll still use the web admin tool to set up your hunt, create your challenges, and more, but the new app makes approving on the day of your event much simpler.
If you’re an admin you can access this section via the hamburger menu. From there a new menu will appear where you can review submissions, message players, download user media, post announcements and more.
A BRAND New Opportunity
Another exciting aspect of the new Eventzee app is the ability for clients to host their own white-label version of the Eventzee app. This totally unique app branded to your specifications uses the Eventzee technology, but operates as a separate build hosted by the client. Although development costs depend on the scope of the project, this high-end option is perfect for brands that want to make an impact in a partnership with Eventzee.
Our company has already kicked off its first white label project with the release of the Barnes Nation app this Spring! Hosted by Barnes Harley-Davidson in BC, Canada, Barnes Nation is a lifestyle app designed to get motorcycle riders out exploring the open roads and meeting new friends.
Housekeeping
The NEW Eventzee app is an entirely new build, so you will not update your current version of the Eventzee app. Instead you will need to search for the new version in your phone’s app store.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be transitioning a number of aspects to the new system. We will keep the previous version of the Eventzee app running for some time, but we do plan to shut down that version in the near future. You can read more about how it relates to Munzee Events on the Munzee blog. Although the older version of the app will be available to use, it will be removed from the app store later this week and not be available for future installs.
We’re also working on a new pricing platform, but ultimately want to work with clients to best suit their needs. We’re excited to announce that we have five new themed photo scavengers hunts available for purchase in the Freeze Tag online store! You can access the collection of Themed Huntz HERE!
Each of these themed scavenger hunts will cost $5 and include 10 challenges. You’ll also get a special badge just for joining each of the hunts! These hunts have been designed so you can do them in your home, but as always we suggest getting creative! Some of these challenges will be items you’ll search for, while others you’ll need to craft yourself.
In order to purchase access to a Themed Hunt you’ll need to input your Eventzee username when checking out. This will automatically add you to the specific hunt you have purchased. Then just login to the Eventzee app and you’ll see the hunt in your My Events section. As a reminder you can access the My Events section by swiping left on the join screen, or from your profile page in the app.

A, B, C, it’s easy as 1, 2, 3! Brush off that dictionary for a photo scavenger hunt that can be done anywhere worldwide. There will be 26 photo challenges for you to complete based on each letter of the alphabet!
Unlike our other hunts these will be ongoing, so you can purchase them at any time and complete them at your own leisure. The purpose of these are more for creative, individual fun than finishing first, but I’m sure many of our usual players will take it a bit more competitively ;).

This hunt will include 20 clues in total, with ten being released each week. The hunt will end on April 30th which will be just 6 months until Halloween. Be creative, and don’t be afraid to break out your old costume box!
The “Halfway To Halloween” hunt is free and can be done from the comfort of your home or in the nearby area! You’ll have until April 30, 2020 at 12:00 MHQ to complete all of the clues.

- Clash- Stripes and spots. Plaid and floral. Show us two patterns clashing together.
- Finger Painting –This is a fun way to get your hands a little dirty, paint a masterpiece using your fingers for brushes.
- Green Thumb –Sometimes we like to bring the outside INSIDE. Take a picture of a house plant. Don’t have one? Feel free to get creative.
- Knitted –Take a picture of something that was knitted or crocheted.
- Metallic -Silver, gold, bronze, aluminum… foil. Show us something metallic.
- Origami –Fold some paper into something creative and impress us with your origami!
- Pet Rock –Social distancing can get a little lonely, why not take this opportunity to make a new friend? Find a rock outside and paint it into your own “pet rock”.
- Sculptor -Take a picture of something molded out of clay. Don’t have any clay at home? Feel free to get creative! I bet mashed potatoes would be a fun medium.
- Sparkle -Take a picture of something that has glitter on it.
- Strange Storms –It’s raining cats and dogs! Or is it raining men? Creatively represent something other than water raining from the sky.
- Air Guitar – Rock out and play some air guitar!
- AM/FM – Take a picture of a radio
- Billy IDOL – Upload a picture of your favorite musician.
- Cans – Take a picture of a pair of headphones/earphones.
- Drum Solo – Pull out the pots and pans and creatively represent playing a drum kit.

We’ve spent enough time on the couch, so now it’s time to go the (social) distance while we’re all cooped up at home! This is a second FREE Eventzee photo scavenger hunt that can be done from the comfort of your home! Thank you to all of those who joined in our first “Couch Potato Party!” That hunt will still remain open for those who want to join, but there will be no more clues added.
Like the “Couch Potato Party” the “Social DistanZEEing” photo scavenger hunt is free and can be done from the comfort of your home or in the nearby area! We had initially planned on including 50 clues in our original hunt, but decided to break this up into a couple smaller hunts so players could earn more Munzee points. This hunt will feature 20 clues, with the first set of 10 clues LIVE now. You’ll have until the end of March to complete both of the hunts.

If you’re using an Android device go to Apps, find Eventzee, and then clear cache and data. Then reload and login. You can also check to make sure your permissions are allowing Eventzee to use your phone’s data and camera.

Don’t let Social DistanZEEing get you down! Join us for a FREE Eventzee photo scavenger hunt that can be done from the comfort of your home! This hunt will feature 20 clues that can be completed around your home so you don’t have to roam too far. Sets of clues will be released over the next couple days and you’ll have until the end of March to complete the hunt. You can earn the Couch Potato Party badge by having one photo approved throughout the course of the hunt!

The Couch Potato Party has begun and the first 20 clues are LIVE! You’ll have from now until March 31st at 10 AM CST to submit all 50 clues. Per usual, no screenshots will be accepted and your photo will either be approved or denied by our admins. Thank you to everyone who joined, and good luck!

- ADVENTageous – Take a photo of an Advent Calendar! If you purchased the Munzee Advent Calendar be sure you hide the codes!
- Blue Christmas – Take a photo of a blue Christmas ornament.
- Christmas Cactus – Take a photo of a non-traditional Christmas tree! Whether that’s a cactus, a succulent, or a pear tree just make sure it has ornaments and lights!
- Deck The Halls – Find your most festive neighbor and take a photo of a house with next level Christmas decorations.
- Dreaming Of A White Christmas – It’s certainly not snowing in Texas, but we want you to creatively represent a Winter Wonderland in photo form.
- Ghost Of Holidays Past – Upload a throwback photo celebrating the holidays! Any past pic will count, but we’d love to see some real retro ones too!
- Ho Ho Hoedown – Our Munzee Event theme this year is all about winter western wear, so dress up in your best cowboy hats, boots, and spurs and take a photo.
- Late Night Snacks – Take a photo of a glass of milk and cookies.
- Letters To Santa – Take a photo at a post office dropping off a letter to the big guy up North. Don’t forget a stamp!
- Mall Rats – Take a photo of a Holiday display at a shopping mall/store of some sort.
- Mistletones – Take a photo giving your loved one a kiss under the mistletoe! No mistletoe? Any other flower will do! No loved ones? There’s always a mirror!
- Naughty Or Nice – Take a photo with your own version of Santa’s Naughty Or Nice list! The longer the list the better!
- Present Tense – Take a photo of a uniquely shaped present. Make sure it’s wrapped!
- Reindeer Rider – Take a photo of a red vehicle fitting of Santa! Big Red may ride a sled on Christmas Eve, but the rest of the year he likes a little more horsepower.
- Sand-Mud-Snow People – Get creative and make a snowman out of anything but snow! Must seem homemade, so no purchased items!
- Santa’s Workshop – Do as the elves do! Creatively represent working on some cool toys in Santa’s Workshop. Don’t forget your tools!
- Stocking Stuffers – Take a photo wearing a fun pair of socks! They don’t have to be holiday themed, we just want to see some cool shoe stuffers!
- Winter Warm-Ups – Take a photo enjoying a warm beverage at your local coffee shop!
- Winter Wonderland – Take a photo dressed up in your thickest winter wear! Even if it’s warm outside, you can at least pretend you’re chilled to the bone.
- Zee-sons Greetings – Make your very own Christmas Card and snap a picture of it. Dodgy jumpers are definitely encouraged!
