  • Dewey Decimal System- Go to a library and take a photo of this book classification system.
  • Mannequin- Take a fashionable photo with a department store mannequin.
  • Far-Reaching Feet- Go to a shoe store and try on the biggest shoe size they carry. Must be new shoes.
  • Oktoberfest!- Oktoberfest kicks off worldwide this weekend, so creatively represent the festival.
  • Animal House- Take a photo at a pet store. pound, or animal rescue building.
  • Fill’er Up- Take a photo outside of a gas station. Make sure the fuel pump is in the photo.
  • Alphabet Soup- R- Find something that starts with the letter R.
  • Monster Under The Bed- Be cautious of the Boogeyman and creatively represent a monster under the bed.
  • Shiver Me Timbers!- Argh Matey, Saturday is International Talk Like a Pirate Day and we want to see your best pirate interpretations. Be creative!
  • #ThrowBackThursday- Share a past pic of any significant moment, but this week NO SCREENSHOTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Only actually printed photos. Start digging into that old photo album.
  • Antonyms- Find two distinct objects that are opposite of one another.
  • Global Goodies- Take a photo of candy that is unique to where you live in the world. Include your home country somewhere in the photo.
  • Creative Calendar- Pick a month of the year and creatively represent it in photo form. Make sure to include the month you have chosen in the photo.
  • Criss-Cross Streets- Find two street signs crossing that start with the same letter. Might want to check a map…
  • Retro Rewind- Take a photo of a VHS tape movie box.

Engaging Photo Challenges for Remote Teams and Online Events

Need inspiration for photo and video challenge ideas that work anywhere? These scavenger hunt ideas are built to spark creativity and boost engagement for participants around the globe. Since the challenges aren’t tied to a specific location or event, they’re ideal for virtual scavenger hunts, hybrid events, remote team building, and conferences. Each challenge can be adapted to fit your audience, timeline, and event goals.

  • Boom’n Beats – Take a photo of an old school radio, boombox or stereo. Cannot be a digital music player.
  • Lumberjack’d – Grab your best flannel and head out to the woods. Ax and rugged beard not required, but are encouraged.
  • Unicolor – Wear an outfit of all the same color. Pants, shirt, jacket, etc must all be the same color.
  • Newsworthy – Mockup up a news anchor desk and deliver the news. Be creative!
  • Can Pyramid – How tall of a pyramid can you make out of cans? Take a photo to prove it.
  • Homecoming Mum – Make your own flowery version of this Texas tradition. Don’t know what a homecoming mum is? Do some research!

  • Personal Paint Party – Show us your painting skills. Here’s the twist: You’re the canvas. Things might get a little messy.

  • Essential Emojis – Creatively represent an emojii in real life. Must include a picture of the emoji you’re representing somewhere in the photo.

Because they aren’t tied to a specific location, venue, or live event, they work well for virtual events, hybrid experiences, conferences, and team-building activities. Use these ideas as inspiration or customize them to fit your event’s theme and engagement goals.

  • Cardboard Creations – Create something out of cardboard. It can be anything, but it must be creative and altered in some way.
  • Statuesque – Find a statue and mimic their pose. Must include an actual statue in the photo.
  • Dance, Dance Revolution – FREEZE FRAME! Show us your favorite dance move.
  • “X” Marks The Spot – Pretend to hunt for treasure and place an “X” on a spot outside. Your “X” must be located outside.
  • Fountain Of Youth – Take a photo at a large fountain in public.
  • Hotel, Motel – Housekeeping! Take a photo outside of a hotel or motel.
  • Staircase to Heaven- Find a unique staircase in public that is taller than you are.
