Potter County Searches For Sasquatch With Eventzee

Potter County Searches For Sasquatch With Eventzee

The Potter County ATV/UTV Club launched their ATV-based hunt using the Eventzee scavenger hunt app. Utilizing Eventzee technology, the “Sasquatch Scavenger Hunt” had participants ride all-terrain vehicles through Susquehannock Forest and surrounding area in search of the elusive bigfoot.

The Sasquatch Scavenger Hunt teams gathered at AJ’s Outdoor Power Equipment of Coudersport to receive sasquatch “hunting” permits along with specific instructions for the day ahead. During their adventure, teams were tasked with various scavenger hunt challenges, including quiz, video, and photo submissions. Players were recommended to play in teams, with donations activating one device per team. The teams were encouraged to arrive in “team spirit”, with an extra award being given to those who were most creative.

“We loved how fun and creative the Sasquatch Scavenger Hunt turned out to be,” said Craig Holland, CEO of Freeze Tag, “The organizers put together an extremely unique event, which is the perfect way to get people engaged with their fellow community members.”

Throughout the day, team members kept their eyes peeled for Bigfoot, who could be found hiding near local businesses. Photos were captured of the Sasquatch himself, as well as any evidence that showed where he went throughout the event. Once photos were submitted, Eventzee’s admin feature allowed the organizers to approve and award points as the day went on.

“Our teams had so much fun throughout the day searching for the Sasquatch,” said Brad Smith, Board member of the Potter County ATV/UTV Club “Eventzee added an immersive layer to the experience, and the real time features made it easier than ever to engage with the players.”

Points were awarded to players for completing various challenges and submitting their photos through the Eventzee scavenger hunt app. Every 5 points that the teams entitled them to 1 ticket for the prize drawing. Various cash prizes were randomly awarded to a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner, totaling $500.00, door prizes, shirts and club merchandise.

Loveland Launches Sculpture Quest With Eventzee

Loveland Launches Sculpture Quest With Eventzee

The city of Loveland, Colorado launched their third virtual community engagement event using the Eventzee scavenger hunt app. Utilizing Eventzee technology, the “Loveland Sculpture Quest” has residents and visitors stopping by sculpture parks throughout the city.

Those in the area can download the Eventzee app and enter the join code “LoveArt” to participate in the ongoing event. The city has prepared Completion Prizes of a Sculpture Quest Sticker and One Free Adult Admission to the Loveland Museum Gallery. There are also larger prizes in 3 other categories, two of which involve Eventzee’s built-in Leaderboard and the User Media section for admins. The virtual event features QR code, photo, video, text, and quiz challenges. The last day of the event is Friday, November 12.

“We’re delighted that the city of Loveland has chosen Eventzee to highlight the beautiful and varied public artwork in their city,” said Craig Holland, CEO of Freeze Tag, “Loveland events are extremely well-designed and make good use of what Eventzee has to offer!”

Loveland’s first Eventzee hunt, “The Hunt for the Loveland Holiday Gnomes,” took place from mid November 2020 to January 1 2021. Unlike the current “Sculpture Quest,” which features permanently installed sculptures, “The Hunt” featured garden gnomes hidden by staff especially for the event.

“After the success of our Eventzee hunt last year, we’re excited to head into Fall with the all new Sculpture Quest,” said Chris Bierdeman, Tourism Group Sales Coordinator for Visit Loveland. “This is the first contest we’ve run with Loveland Art in Public Places, and this program is the perfect way for people to enjoy the sculptures as the season changes.”

Loveland Launches Holiday Hunt With Eventzee

Loveland Launches Holiday Hunt With Eventzee

The City of Loveland, Colorado launched a virtual community engagement event using the Eventzee scavenger hunt app. Utilizing Eventzee technology, the “Hunt for the Loveland Holiday Gnomes” had residents and visitors stopping by landmarks and businesses along the Loveland Light Trail.

The Loveland Light Trail led participants on a special holiday light tour throughout the city and included free nightly musical light shows at Winter Wonderlights, one of the stops, from mid-November until January 1. To promote the nightly activity, the City of Loveland’s staff took the extra step of procuring 10 unique garden gnomes for participants to find – one at each stop along the trail. Utilizing the Eventzee app players then tracked down the various gnomes and completed challenges for points.

“The response to this event was outstanding,” said Craig Holland, CEO of Freeze Tag, “There were over 1300 participants, which is a testament to Visit Loveland’s skill in creating a scavenger hunt with such wide-ranging appeal.”

Each gnome featured in the hunt had a name, a personality, and its own set of challenges to complete. At every stop, there was a Photo Challenge to take a selfie with the gnome as proof that the gnome was found. To encourage practicing COVID-19 guidelines, those wearing masks in their photos earned bonus points, as Eventzee’s admin tool allows for point adjustment upon approving a submission. The first gnome participants met was Herbie, Loveland’s holiday gnome.

“We had so much fun creating this game with Eventzee, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the turnout!” said Chris Bierdeman, Tourism Group Sales Coordinator for Visit Loveland. “So many people were looking for safe and fun ways to spend their time during the holidays, and this really fit the bill!”

The participants with the highest scores by December 31 received one of several grand prizes, the largest of which was a Loveland Winter Staycation consisting of an overnight stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Loveland, ice skating for 4, horseback riding at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch, $175 in gift cards to local businesses, and a basket of Loveland-made goodies from local artisans.

Charlotte Hornets Launch Fan Event With Eventzee

Charlotte Hornets Launch Fan Event With Eventzee

The Charlotte Hornets NBA team launched a fan engagement event using the Eventzee scavenger hunt app. Utilizing Eventzee technology, the “Buzz City Gold Rush Scavenger Hunt!” put fans’ Hornets knowledge to the test and encouraged them to share their favorite things about the team.

Hornets fans participated by launching the Hornets App and tapping on the hunt as it appeared in the slideshow area at the top. The virtual event featured photo, video and quiz challenges. Through photos and videos, fans shared their enthusiasm for the team before the new 2020-21 NBA season kicked off. Quiz challenges included a bonus timer — more points were awarded to those who answered quickly. In addition, because Eventzee allows individual challenges to be scheduled, new quizzes appeared each day of the event, which lasted from December 7th until December 22nd, the start of the NBA season.

“We’re constantly working to make Eventzee as accessible as possible,” said Craig Holland, CEO of Freeze Tag, “The integration within the Hornets app made it easier than ever for players to join in the fun.”

Eventzee app developers worked with the Charlotte Hornets to make the Buzz City hunt accessed via the Hornets App. This helped to streamline the onboarding process as many fans already had the Hornets App on their device and did not need to download the Eventzee app separately.

“Eventzee made this process as easy as possible for our team and our fans as we seek new and different ways to engage with them,” said Hornets Senior Vice President of Consumer Engagement Seth Bennett.  “Their built-in leaderboard and scoring mechanisms made it simple for us to keep track and award prizes to our fans who participated.”

Jacksonville Celebrates Holiday Fun With Eventzee by Freeze Tag

Jacksonville Celebrates Holiday Fun With Eventzee by Freeze Tag

Jacksonville, Florida’s Downtown Business Improvement District, Downtown Vision, launched a virtual community engagement event using the Eventzee scavenger hunt app. Utilizing Eventzee technology, the “Halloweek” event encouraged residents and visitors to frequent a variety of businesses in Downtown Jacksonville.

“The Halloweek event by the Downtown Jacksonville team is a wonderful example of how creative organizations can be in motivating community members to visit local businesses who have been adversely affected during this pandemic,” said Craig Holland, CEO of Freeze Tag, “We believe similar programs using our Eventzee platform would be of benefit to many other downtown organizations across the country.”

According to Downtown Vision, Halloweek was designed to bring people back Downtown and to help keep visitors and businesses safe by spreading out the visitation numbers throughout the week. In lieu of the one-day Trick-or-Treat on the Street this year, they invited residents to join the Halloween Hunt.

Using the built-in leaderboard and scoring mechanisms in the Eventzee app, players were challenged to seek out and scan at least 10 QR codes at participating businesses between Monday, October 26th and Friday, October 30th. All those players who achieved this goal received a $20 #DTJax e-Gift Card from Downtown Vision.

In addition, all hunters who scanned at least 10 QR Codes were entered into a drawing to receive prize baskets from Downtown businesses. Players were encouraged to participate in special photo challenges for extra entries into the contest.

“This year, we were looking to transform our annual one-day Halloween festivity into a safe and socially distant scavenger hunt as part of Halloweek,” said Lexi Brantman, Downtown Vision’s Director of Communications. “Eventzee came highly recommended during the International Downtown Association’s annual conference and was the perfect fit for our needs and budget. Players really got into the QR Hunt around Downtown. In addition, Eventzee allowed us to add photo challenges to our game giving us more than 150 photos we can use to market all the happenings in Downtown.”

Downtown Vision shared that the scavenger hunt was successful, with more than 35 Downtown businesses participating, all of who appreciated the increased traffic to their stores. In fact, Downtown Vision is planning on conducting additional events using the Eventzee virtual event platform in the coming months.
